Very well-written. There are always gonna be a few bad apples, like in any environment. It's only a matter of time before someone like Phoenix Jones gets seriously threatened by a domestic terrorist group (like ALF/ELF) or a local anarchist group. Guys like that are no different than one of these local rent-a-cops who are handcuff-happy and eventually get arrested.
RLSH like Old Superhero have made their mistakes, but he's learned his lesson. Now, he's heading a 501c3 (Team Justice). When I joined this community, I was inspired by guys like Superhero and The Eye. Unfortunately, there aren't many positive role models that are well known in the community.
The media is the media, and they're always gonna report on people doing stupid shit.

Thank you for seeing both sides of this RLSH idea. The careless actions of the few tend to cast a dark, often humiliating shadow on those of us that devote a great deal of our time, money and efforts into making our communities better, to make a difference.

I'm sure that many of us, upon viewing your chalk outline, hope the picture isn't eerily prophetic; it looks as if the victim was trying to run...

The thing I like about Supes is he is not afraid to admit when he has made a mistake. He learns from it and moves on. That and he is okay with the joke; meaning he doesn't take himself too seriously. And he genuinely does good works in his community which I don't think you can say about too many RLSH.

The thing I like about you, Malignance, is your mask reminds me of Dr. Zoidberg and that makes me laugh. You villains really do know how to have a good time.

So our favourite crimefighter, Master Legend, enjoys running out in front of traffic, risking the lives of innocent motorists.
And Superhero, I hope that was sarcasm. If I said that I wasnt your son, would I be psychic?

"OldSuperhero is the model" from a previous comment?

He refers to Bee Sting pointing a gun at a Biker who was trying to protect children as "Hijinks". Attempted murder as "Hijinks".

He's the Model all RLSH should strive to follow all right.
Bee Sting already has.

Old Superhero is the model all RLSH should strive to follow. What irks me is that guys like Phoenix Jones and Bee Sting just keep repeating the mistakes of those that came before. Anyway, great article, just one more question: why are all the villains steampunk-ish?

Wrong! the actual circumcision is done while the child is being held in the lap of an honoree called the"kwater" (godfather). The folding table is used for the mohel's equipment.

You're right, it's like porn parody season! I saw the first 5 minutes of Star Wars before I had to stop cause I was giggling too much. I'll be sitting down to view and review it properly in the near future, and Big Bang Theory is certainly on the to-do list as well.

Thanks Dustin! Glad you enjoyed it.

I totally agree - the lack of a black or white perspective certainly adds a level of realism to the film, whereas so many post-apocalyptic/zombie/plague invasion movies have the very distinct 'hero' role filled out.

If there's ever a movie you'd like to recommend for me to review, please send me an email at:

I totally agree – the lack of a black or white perspective certainly adds a level of realism to the film, whereas so many post-apocalyptic/zombie/plague invasion movies have the very distinct ‘hero’ role filled out.

If there’s ever a movie you’d like to recommend for me to review, please send me an email at:

What I really enjoyed about this movie was the absolute lack of white hats and black hats. The cast are all at different points of descent through out the movie and it makes the film more enjoyable. Great movie and good review.

Speaking of Myspace, the a backgrounds, wacky typefaces and graphics were bad, but nothing was worse than the music players that would kick in and make you jump ten feet. I left Myspace a long time ago and I definitely do not miss it. But I digress...

As you know, I work in corporate client services and communicate largely via email. I am witness to some of the biggest felonies in professional that you can imagine, everything you've noted above and more. The ridiculous fonts that are hard to read, people choosing yellow fonts against a while background, or stationary images that make reading the text an exercise in frustration. These are my biggest pet peeves. The text/chat speak I can deal with to an extent - it's so common that I just let it slide, but it's still annoying.

Anyway, I always end each comment by saying "great article"...and this one is no different. Keep up the awesome work :)
