A Man Named Jim

It’s been 22 years since Jim Henson was taken from us, but still his memory has thrived with the help of his family, friends and, of course, his fans.

Henson was one of two Jim’s that inspired me, the other being my Grandad who sadly passed away this year, and both taught me the importance of love, imagination and laughter. These are lessons I have taken with me since I was a little girl and will continue to carry for the rest of my life.

In memory of all Jim’s that motivate and inspire us use today, tomorrow and everyday after to use your imagination, be kind to those around you and most importantly to find happiness.

As children, we all live in a world of imagination, of fantasy, and for some of us that world of make-believe continues into adulthood. Certainly I’ve lived my whole life through my imagination. But the world of imagination is there for all of us — a sense of play, of pretending, of wonder. It’s there with us as we live.

— Jim Henson
